Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy explains what Digital Paper Shack Listing Assistant collects when you appraise products, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the listing assistant workspace only.

Information we collect

When you create an account we hold the name and email address tied to your sign-in. As you work, we store the appraisals you generate: the product photos you upload, the detected item details, condition notes, measurements, tags, pricing status and any edits you make.

We also keep basic technical records such as the time an appraisal ran and which account ran it, so that a batch can be traced and your history stays yours.

How we use your information

Your photos and category selection are sent to an AI vision service to produce an appraisal, and the saved appraisal is what appears in your history and CSV exports. The item name is sent to marketplace pricing services when you ask for a price lookup. Batch completion summaries are sent to Slack only if you deliberately connect your own Slack account.

We use your email address to sign you in, to verify your account and, if enabled, to send the daily appraisal digest.

Product photos

Photos are uploaded to storage so the vision service can read them, and each file is given a long, unguessable link. Those links are not published or indexed anywhere, but anyone who holds one can open the file, so avoid storing images you would not want shared, such as photographs that identify you or your home.

Deleting an appraisal from your history removes the record. Ask support to remove the underlying image files from storage.

Third-party services

Appraisals depend on outside providers: an AI vision and language service that reads your photos and drafts the listing copy, marketplace pricing APIs that return comparable prices, and optionally Slack for batch alerts. Each provider handles the data it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.

Data retention

Appraisals stay in your history until you delete them or close your account. If you close your account, we remove your appraisal records and account details, keeping only what we must retain for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete any appraisal from your history, choose not to connect Slack, and request a copy of your data. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to correct, restrict or object to certain processing.

To make a request, contact us through the app's Help & Support channel.

Security

Appraisals are private to the account that created them. Account access is protected by your sign-in credentials and session tokens, and we limit who inside our team can reach stored data.

Children

The workspace is built for sellers and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and material changes will be highlighted in the app.
